Each time you take a sugar reading, your meter sends it to the Blood Sugar Log app. In the Blood Sugar Log app, you can find each reading, together with dates and times of when it was taken. The app also allows you to import data from the 'blood pressure' app (which also supports importing from the 'blood glucose' app) into the Blood Sugar Log.
The app also allows you to see your glucose levels over the last several days, which you can then use to see if you need to take any insulin.
